Babatunde Ojumu

Babatunde Ojumu is an accomplished technology executive with over 30 years of experience in information technology, digital transformation, enterprise solutions, and technology consulting across Africa. 

He began his career in 1993 as an IT Graduate Trainee with International Computers Limited (ICL), where he progressed to the position of Senior Support Executive, delivering enterprise IT solutions to clients across the banking, oil and gas, manufacturing, and other key sectors. 

In 1997, he joined United Telesys Limited (now Emperion West Africa), where he held several leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as Head of Operations. In this role, he successfully led the delivery of large-scale ICT projects for organisations in the banking, telecommunications, oil and gas, education, and manufacturing sectors, including the deployment of VSAT connectivity and other mission-critical ICT infrastructure solutions. 

Between 2000 and 2005, Tunde served as a Senior Consultant at Transnational Computer Technology (TCT), where he managed and delivered technology projects across Africa, including the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Project and UNDP Internet Connectivity Projects in Ethiopia and Angola. 

Tunde currently serves as Director, Technical Solutions at SoftAlliance & Resources Limited, where he leads the design, development, and implementation of enterprise digital transformation initiatives for government and private sector organisations. He has played a pivotal role in the development and deployment of innovative solutions such as SoftSuite HRMS, SoftPay, PlateDetect, and SoftKloud, as well as landmark digital transformation programmes, including the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS), REVOPS, the Lagos State Global Computerisation Project (LASG GCP), and the Lagos State PlateDetect Solution. 

His expertise spans Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Systems Integration, Project Management, IT Strategy, and Technology Consulting. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to leveraging technology to solve complex business challenges, strengthen public service delivery, and drive sustainable organisational transformation. 

Tunde holds an MBA in Technology Management from Walden University, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), with research focused on the strategic alignment of talent development and corporate outcomes in Nigerian IT firms. 

He is a registered member of the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN), the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigeria Internet Group (NIG), and the Oracle Architects Club. 

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Tunde is passionate about developing and mentoring emerging technology professionals, fostering innovation, and advancing the adoption of emerging technologies to accelerate digital transformation and sustainable socio-economic development across Africa. 

He joined Transnational Computer Technology as a Senior Consultant from 2000 to 2005. Tunde presently is the General Manager, Technical Solutions at SoftAlliance.

Tunde’s background in Telecommunications, System Administration, and Networking coupled with vast experience in Technical project management, Customer Support, and IT Strategy development have helped him deliver solutions fit for clients’ needs.

Tunde holds an MBA in Technology Management from Walden University, USA, and a BSC in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is a member of both Nigeria Internet Group and Oracle Architects Club.
