SoftPAY TO BE DEPLOYED AT NIGERIAN PORTS AUTHORITY

The Nigerian Ports Authority is a government body that supervises all port
operations across the country. Its activities span across 9 to 10
locations in various ports including Lagos Port, Tincan Island Port,
Rivers Port, Delta Port, Onne Port and Calabar Port Complex’s.
SoftAlliance has partnered with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to
provide an electronic payment solution called SoftPAY that will handle all
NPA’s payables, receivables and reconciliation.

SoftAlliance will provide an Internet Portal that can be accessed all over
the world by all Customers of NPA within and outside the federation. We
will also ensure that the application itself can be accessed at all NPA
Teller Points where activities such as creation of transactions for
configured NPA revenue types can be carried out. Information will be
synced between the Internet and Application. This provides both online and
intranet availability of the application for NPA at all times.

SoftPAY will ensure that NPA can electronically make contractor payments,
incidental payments, monthly salaries and recurring staff
allowances/entitlements including remittances and deductions from the
various designated bank accounts in Nigeria. These payments can be made
into any specified bank account of payees in ANY BANK in Nigeria with same
day of receipt of payment instructions.

SoftPAY will also enable NPA receive payments from its customers all over
the world. The portal will allow both customers and NPA teller’s login and
create revenue transactions. Once transactions are completed on SoftPAY
Portal, the transaction data are sent back to NPA’s enterprise Resource
Planning System (Oracle E-business Suite) as confirmation of payments in
Account Receivables as receipts. The receipts will then be used to match
the corresponding invoices in Accounts Receivables.
